Bluestein Awarded New NSF Grant

Dr. Howie Bluestein, professor and G. L. Cross Research Professor, has been awarded a new two-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). This will allow him and his graduate students to continue their work with RaXpol to probe tornadoes, in order to further understanding of tornado structure. Dr. David Bodine and Dr. Boon Leng Cheong, both of the OU Advanced Radar Research Center (ARRC) are co-PIs. This grant also supports Dylan Reif’s Ph.D., which considers idealized numerical studies of nocturnal convective initiation in the absence of surface boundaries.

Congratulations to the team!
