CASS Collaborates on new NASA Grant to Improve Low-Altitude Weather Forecasting

CASS, the Center for Autonomous Sensing and Sampling, is led by Dr. Phil Chilson of the OU School of Meteorology. In collaboration with Oklahoma State University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the University of Kentucky, Virginia Tech , the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Vigilant Aerospace Systems Inc. AirXOS, part of GE Aviation, and the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the team will receive $5.2 million over four years to develop improvements for low-altitude weather forecasting.
