Abstract: For over 35 years Unidata, with support from the National Science Foundation, has been supporting the Earth-system science education and research communities by providing data and software tools. These tools encompass the full gamut of workflows involved in working with data, including distribution, storage, access, and analysis, and include tools such as LDM, netCDF, THREDDS, IDV, and MetPy. All of these tools are open source and freely available; most importantly, Unidata is available to support the community’s use of these tools.
During this talk, we’ll discuss the suite of tools available from Unidata, what’s new, and how they can help solve your data issues. We’ll also discuss some of the services and other forms of support Unidata offers our university users. Finally, well see some of these tools in action in a live demo from within a Jetstream-based cloud environment.
