Paid Summer Assistantship Opportunity with SCIPP


The Southern Climate Impacts Planning Program (SCIPP, at OU, located in the National Weather Center building, is looking for a motivated undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in climate adaptation/hazards planning and communication to work 20-40 hours per week during the summer months. The individual will primarily be tasked with identifying and sorting through climate resilience and adaptation planning process resources and financial resources and provide recommendations on the resources that are most salient to planners and emergency managers in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Additional related tasks may be assigned. No prior experience with climate or hazards information is needed however the student must be interested in learning about the context. The results of this work will inform ongoing conversations at state and local levels in Oklahoma and Arkansas and support climate resilience efforts.
