Mentoring Mindset:

Building a strong network is crucial for success, since peer mentors, professional mentors, and life mentors can all provide perspectives and insight to help you succeed in different ways. I would like to be part of that network for folks navigating their degrees, to help students achieve their goals, and to provide for others benefits of mentorship that I still receive.

  • A summer internship at SPC done during the summer after my junior year
  • Working in NOAA’s Hazardous Weather Testbed (here in the NWC!) transferring research to operations and vice versa
  • Developing tools that SPC forecasters use when forecasting tornadoes
