Jacob Genuise is a sophomore in the OU School of Meteorology from Little Elm, Texas. He is minoring in Math and Sociology and is interested primarily in mountain meteorology, winter weather forecasting as well as the sociological factors that contribute to equitable and rapid disaster response and funding allocation. He serves on the Programming Committee for Green Week, a student organization committed to raising environmental awareness and activism on campus, is a member of the OU Honors College, and he works as a Student Operator for the Oklahoma Mesonet. He is also the Director of Internal Communications for Alpha Lambda Delta, a service-based honor society on campus. He chose the University of Oklahoma due to its co-location with the National Weather Center as well as the mix of a small-school atmosphere and big-school amenities that the university as a whole offers to its students.
