Jacob Genuise is a senior in the OU School of Meteorology from Little Elm, Texas. He is minoring in Math and Sociology and is interested primarily in the human and sociological impacts of climate change and how countries can develop better adaptation/mitigation strategies moving forward. He currently serves as Peer Teaching Assistant for a Gateway to College Learning course, is a member of the OU Honors College, and he works part time as a Student Operator for the Oklahoma Mesonet. He is also a Senior Advisor for Alpha Lambda Delta, a community service and scholarship based honor society on campus. He chose the University of Oklahoma due to its co-location with the National Weather Center as well as opportunities to study abroad within the School of Meteorology. He also enjoys the “small school” atmosphere of the School of Meteorology mixed with the “big school” amenities that OU offers as a Tier 1 research university.
