Research Interests:
Dr. Sakaeda’s research interests include understanding the dynamics of tropical clouds and precipitation in various scales and their interactions with higher latitudes. Some topics of her interests are the Madden-Julian Oscillation, convectively-coupled equatorial waves, the diurnal cycle of tropical rainfall and cloudiness, tropical-extratropical interactions, and weather-climate interactions.
