In this informal seminar we will present the basics of getting started using LaTeX for manuscript preparation. If you're not familiar with LaTeX, it is a document preparation system that is often used as an alternative to Microsoft Word. If you've already heard of LaTeX, but you're not sure what it is or how to use it, or if you've been interested in using LaTeX to prepare manuscripts for submission but didn't know where or how to start, this seminar is for you.

Join us for the seminar and we'll cover the basics of downloading LaTeX, how to use a manuscript template, compiling tex files, how to insert figures and tables, and how to format symbols and equations. Bring your laptop and questions, and leave feeling confident in your ability to start preparing beautiful manuscripts using LaTeX.
