Dr. Jonathan Martin

Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Dr. Martin joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 after receiving his Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences from the University of Washington. His research expertise is in mid-latitude weather systems and their connection to the climate system. He has authored over 50 scientific papers, as well as a textbook on mid-latitude atmospheric dynamics. In 2016 he became a recipient of the AMS Edward N. Lorenz Teaching Excellence Award.
