Australian Temperature and Rainfall Variability: Multiple Links with Local and Remote Climate Drivers

Dr. Lance Leslie
OU School of Meteorology

Dr. Leslie received his BS and MS in Mathematics from the University of Sydney and his PhD in Mathematics from Monash University. Currently, he teaches courses on numerical weather prediction and tropical meteorology, advises MS and PhD students, and is a Faculty Associate of the Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies (CIMMS). He has been an editor of several meteorological journals and has served on numerous local and external committees, including several WMO committees. He has received a number of international awards and prizes, including the Max Planck Research Award in 1994. He is a Fellow of the AMS and of the Eurasian Academy of Science, and became a George Lynn Cross Research Professor of OU in 2008.
