Dr. Courtney Schumacher
Department of Atmospheric Sciences
Texas A&M University

Dr. Schumacher is a professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M University. She has spent much of her life traveling in and out of the tropics, which likely led to her interest in tropical meteorology. Dr. Schumacher’s research focuses on convective organization and multi-scale interactions, with special emphasis on observing or intuiting the vertical structure of storms.
