Small-Scale Turbulent Mixing at the Top of the Planetary Boundary Layer

Dr. Mellado graduated in 1999 from the School of Aeronautical Engineering, Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 2004 he received Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from University of California, San Diego. After holding research and faculty positions at Technical University in Munich, University of Seville, and Aachen University, he moved in 2010 to the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology in Hamburg, Germany, where he currently leads the Max Planck Research Group of turbulent mixing processes in the Earth system.
