Land surface, clouds, aerosol at the Southern Great Plains: reflections on the past and looking to the future

Dr. Berg earned his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science in 2002 from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and has M.S. and B.S. degrees in Meteorology from Penn State. He joined the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in 2002 and is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research has focused on parameterizations of boundary-layer turbulence, shallow convection, and cloud-aerosol interactions. He participated in a number of field studies supported by the NSF, DOE, and DHS, including the Joint Urban 2003 tracer study conducted in and around Oklahoma City.
