Faculty Member and Alumnus Droegemeier Named Head of NSF
Faculty member Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier achieved his BS in Meteorology at OU, and has gone on to accomplish a great many things in his career, including his Ph.D., excellent research, and a number of illustrious leadership positions. President Trump named him the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, leading to Dr. Droegemeier’s leave-of-absence from the School to serve in this role. Most recently, though, he was named as acting director of the National Science Foundation. More information can be found here: https://www.nsf.gov/news/news_summ.jsp?cntn_id=300306&org=NSF
