Job Summary/Description:

KWCH/KSCW is looking for a dynamic News Producer to join our team. The candidate must be able to work in a highly functioning, experienced newsroom and be an excellent writer for multi-platform content and tell impactful stories to enhance our award-winning team’s enterprise content.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Must be strong at managing breaking news and severe weather coverage, and be able to make sound split-second decisions during live broadcasts.
– Strong skills working with social media, and gathering news worthy content from local agencies.
– Must be able to think strategically and motivate your team to execute your vision.

Qualifications/Requirements:

– Previous reporting or producing experience is necessary for this position
– Great communication skills are a must
– Comfortable, confident, and competent news judgment
– A college degree in journalism, broadcastings or communication arts preferred
