Monte Flora Wins Student Poster Award

Montgomery Flora, an OU Meteorology Ph.D. student, was recently awarded a Best Student Poster Presentation award for the AMS 29th Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting/25thConference on Numerical Weather Prediction. The WAF/NWP conference was held in Denver, Colorado in June, and featured a number of presentations and meetings. Monte, whose poster was titled: “Enhancing Storm-Scale 1-h Probabilistic Low-level Rotation Forecasts through Machine Learning” and was one of only three students honored for their poster presentations.
