Ph.D. students Awarded Dissertation Completion Fellowships
Each year, the University of Oklahoma awards dissertation completion fellowships – these are for Ph.D. candidates who are in the final phases of dissertation writing. These awards recognize especially meritorious projects and support their completion. There are two such fellowships; the Mergler Fellowship and the Bullard Fellowship. Addison Alford, who is advised by Dr. Mike Biggerstaff, was awarded a Mergler fellowship, and Jordan Christian, who is advised by Dr. Jeff Basara, was awarded a Bullard Fellowship. These fellowships will provide financial assistance to the students in order to allow them to focus on their dissertation writing, and only a handful of students are awarded out of the thousands of graduate students across the University.
Congratulations, Addison and Jordan!
