Senior Spotlight May 2021 – Kyle Ferguson

This year we are continuing our tradition of Senior Spotlights! For everyone, 2020 and 2021 have been challenging years, but we want to highlight our amazing seniors for preserving through these difficult times.

Meet Kyle Ferguson! He is from Mckinney, Texas. Kyle’s love for meteorology came naturally to him at a young age.

“I have loved weather since I can remember,” he said. “I was always the kid who would get super excited when a thunderstorm would be near and want to see it.”

His meteorology career here in Norman has led to him getting involved in OWL and CIMMS.

Kyle says the toughest part of college is the patience and dedication the meteorology program demands.

“The hardest part about meteorology was keeping everything I had to do in line,” he said. “It is a very intensive major but teaches you a lot if you have the passion for it.”

After graduation, Kyle plans to attend grad school, though he says he isn’t opposed to going straight to work with his meteorology degree!

Congratulations, Kyle! The School of Meteorology is excited to see all you do in the future!
