Senior Spotlight May 2020 – Bailey Jarrett
This year we are continuing our tradition of Senior Spotlights! With graduation postponed, it is more important than ever to highlight this spring’s graduating class. The class of May 2020 is experiencing their last few weeks of college unlike any of those who came before them. It has been a tough time, but the seniors are adapting to new ways of learning and are continuing to celebrate their accomplishments thus far.
A&GS Outstanding Senior 2019-2020 – Annalisa Sanfilippo
Each year the College of Atmospheric & Geographic Sciences awards one graduating senior within the college the Outstanding Senior award. For the 2019-2020 school year, Annalisa Sanfilippo was selected for this honor. Annalisa will graduate with a BS in meteorology with special distinction and a minor in aerospace studies, this spring (2020).
Senior Spotlight *December Graduate* – Jason Myers
Jason is from Troy, Ohio and came to Oklahoma to study here at the School of Meteorology. He told us that he has always been interested in the weather and Oklahoma was the perfect place for him to study meteorology alongside aviation.
Senior Spotlight: Morgan Schneider
Recent graduate, Morgan Schneider, won Best Student Oral Presentation at the 2019 AMS conference and finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Meteorology. Schneider won Best Student Oral Presentation for her presentation titled, Modeling the 3-D Geomagnetic Field Using Satellite Scalar Field Observations.
Elizabeth Smith wins best Oral Presentation at the 24th Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction
Elizabeth Smith gave a presentation at the 2017 AMS (American Meteorological Society) Annual Meeting that was selected 1st place among oral presentations from all the student entries to the 24th Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction.
